■HEADLIGHT 8oz. SPECIAL WOVEN STRIPE DENIM WAIST OVERALLS HD42499
This time, we are introducing an item made from woven stripe denim, which was featured in a 1914 advertisement and is almost non-existent in vintage form. Since the stripe is expressed through weaving rather than printing, it is clearly intended to compete with Wabash stripes from companies like Stifel. The fabric was analyzed from a swatch attached to a novelty notebook distributed at dealerships. It is made from #10 cotton yarn in three colors: indigo, natural, and charcoal, and constructed with a left-hand twill. Although this specific item type has not been confirmed for HEADLIGHT, it is based on the Lot No.903 Pantaloon Overall released in 1914 by Crown Overalls, a company that HEADLIGHT would later partner with. A distinctive feature is the adoption of belt loops, which appeared 8 years earlier than on the 501XX. The silhouette is wide, similar to overalls, and the waist can be adjusted with a cinch back. Although the selvedge is hidden by the felling seams on the sides, it can be seen on the inside of the hip pockets. ＜HEADLIGHT＞ A brand of Larned Carter & Co. that started in the early 1900s and existed until the 1960s. Unusually for its time, the company maintained integrated production from weaving to sewing, demonstrating a strong commitment to its products. As indicated by the trademarks on its labels and flashers, it was favored and supplied to railroad workers and engineers. Even today, it remains highly popular among collectors, and this brand revives rare, hard-to-find items for the modern era. Weight: 670g  SUGAR CANE, which has been making meticulously crafted button-down wear for many years, is a long-established brand of vintage American casual wear under Toyo Enterprise, which also owns flight jacket and collectible Hawaiian shirt brands such as Buzz Rickson's and Sun Surf.
