This time, we are releasing items made from woven stripe denim that was featured in a 1914 advertisement and is now almost non-existent in vintage collections. The emphasis on the stripe created by weaving rather than printing suggests that it was clearly intended to rival Wabash stripes from companies like Stifel. Based on fabric swatches attached to novelty notebooks distributed at stores, we analyzed the material and created it using left-hand twill with 10-count cotton yarn in three colors: indigo, unbleached, and charcoal. The pattern is a work coat that retains traces of a sack coat, with details such as a collarless design and an A-line silhouette. Since this was before special sewing machines were adopted, eyelet buttonholes and bartacks were not yet used. All buttons are change buttons, and the collar and cuffs are adjustable with two eyelets each. The pockets are attached with double stitching, but applied twice with a single-needle machine. ＜HEADLIGHT＞ A brand of Larned Carter & Co. that began in the early 1900s and existed until the 1960s. It was rare for its time that they consistently produced everything from weaving to sewing in-house, which shows their commitment to their products. As indicated by the trademarks on the labels and fliers, the brand was favored and supplied to railway workers and engineers. Even today, it remains highly popular among collectors, and we are reviving rare and hard-to-obtain items. Weight: 685g  SUGAR CANE has been consistently producing meticulously crafted button-down wear for many years. It is a long-established brand of vintage American casual wear by Toyo Enterprise, which also owns flight jacket and collectible Hawaiian shirt brands such as Buzz Rickson's and Sun Surf.
