■THE FLAT HEAD Long-Sleeve Block Check Flannel Western Shirt White/Blue FN-SNW-101L

Model: Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, Wearing Size M
【A highly popular block check pattern among flannel shirts】
Flannel shirts are a staple of casual wear.
Among them, the block check pattern is highly popular, but THE FLAT HEAD uses an original fabric that combines herringbone (Japanese cedar) patterns within the block check pattern.
To express the combination of different patterns, it is woven using modified equipment of old-fashioned shuttle looms.
Not only the pattern, but the uneven texture created by the old-fashioned shuttle loom and the fact that the fabric itself is highly breathable and excellent in heat retention are its features.

Expressive natural yellow mother-of-pearl buttons
Snap buttons made of natural yellow mother-of-pearl that change color depending on the viewing angle.
The milky white buttons that emit a soft luster have a natural expression that is different one by one.
To make the most of the material, the surface is deliberately not coated.

Brushed lining
The back of the fabric is made with a fluffy brushed finish.
The densely raised pile has excellent heat retention and a pleasant touch.

Triangular gussets
Triangular gussets are attached to both sides of the hem.
This detail is seen in vintage shirts and is said to have been added to reinforce the overlapping part of the hem.
THE FLAT HEAD sews it with sufficient strength, but the gussets are added more for design purposes than reinforcement.
The selvedge (edge part) of the fabric woven on the shuttle loom is also used in this gusset part as proof of its weaving.

Wrapped seam construction
"Wrapped seam construction," which involves wrapping and sewing the fabric together, is a detail created for strength.
The main parts that form the shirt, including the armholes, are wrapped with chain stitch sewing by a two-needle chain stitch machine.

Selvedge unique to shuttle looms
As one of the vintage details, the back of the placket uses the selvedge (edge part) of the fabric woven on the shuttle loom as proof of its weaving.
