Horween's Chromexcel leather, from an established American tannery,
is characterized by its traditional manufacturing method of combination tanning with chrome and vegetable tannins, and being generously infused with oil,
making it supple and quick to break in.
Although it can scratch easily, the marks quickly disappear with a leather brush or by applying oil.
Another appealing feature is that it's "top-dyed," meaning only the surface is colored, so as you use it, the brown core becomes visible.
