This saddle leather is made by Baker & Co., a long-established British tannery with roots dating back to Roman times.
Carefully selected raw hides are vegetable-tanned using oak tree components, a method that does not involve chemical processing.
Craftsmen then hand-rub each piece with wax and grease.
This leather was originally developed for making saddles for British aristocrats.
It is a high-grade leather meticulously handcrafted over a long period.
With a thickness of nearly 6mm, it is also considered extremely rare.
Durable and robust, it develops a unique luster and a rich, aged patina with use.
