■DENIME Lot.220A OFFSET XX MODEL
![]() Model Height 175cm, Weight 60kg, wearing 30 inch (non-wash) DENIME, which swept the Japanese fashion scene in the 90s, overcame the risk of extinction and re-launched in 2023, updated with WAREHOUSE's technology. Lot.220A thoroughly reproduces the XX model that DENIME manufactured at its establishment. The fabric was developed jointly with Kurabo (Kurashiki Spinning Co., Ltd., a major manufacturer of textile products), based on the recipe from that time. By rope-dyeing slub yarn spun from American cotton, using the same dedicated indigo color as back then, and then grass-dyeing it as a finishing touch, the deep, characteristic DENIME color is reproduced. In addition, during the scouring process before rope-dyeing, WAREHOUSE's unique use of room temperature water results in a strong contrast with the dyed areas being dark and the undyed core remaining prominent in the warp threads. Furthermore, because a GL3 loom, known as an old-style power loom, is used, the characteristics of the slub yarn are directly reflected in the denim. The silhouette reproduces the original from that time while incorporating updates. While retaining DENIME's characteristic back pocket shape, and the width of the thighs, knees, and hems, the fit around the waist has been updated. This allows anyone to enjoy a beautiful silhouette with a shrink-to-fit feature. ![]() Founded in 1988 by designer Yoshiyuki Hayashi, it was a pioneering Japanese replica jeans brand. After a change of ownership and nearly disappearing, it made a full comeback in 2023 thanks to WAREHOUSE.
![]() The shape of the back pocket, the face of the jeans, is retained as is. The sewing width of the hidden rivet part and the sewing specification that forms a triangle at the top are also the same as back then. The belt loop sewn in a curve from the center was a distinctive feature that made DENIME recognizable at a glance back then. The way the leather label is sewn is also distinctive. It is sewn together with the stitching on the upper part of the waistband, temporarily fixed, and then sewn in a square shape. The denim is right-hand twill with only the white part of the selvage being left-hand twill. This was conceived at the time to create a strong "ear" texture. All sewing threads and selvage lines use the same cotton threads as back then. ![]() Buttons and rivets have been updated in terms of material and shape. Before DENIME's founding, during the development stage, analysis of vintage XX models showed measurements of 7x7 for warp and weft, but with the aim of achieving higher quality and thickness, 6x6 was determined to be optimal.
