This is a popular series from Duke Kahanamoku that expresses vintage aloha shirt patterns with indigo shading. This season, "Duke's Pineapple," a signature piece of the Duke brand, has been added to the lineup. While typically a single-color discharge print, this design suggests a new appeal by separating the leaves and fruit into two color plates. Two types are available: a dark-colored one-wash model and a light-colored model that recreates the appearance of age.

Duke Kahanamoku was a Hawaiian hero and legendary waterman, an Olympic gold medalist in swimming, and the person who established surfing as a sport. He started his eponymous brand in the 1930s and became its spokesperson, spreading Hawaiian culture to the world. Inheriting his excellent sensibility, Sun Surf's Special Edition faithfully recreates the charm of existing Duke brand vintage aloha shirts.
