■WAREHOUSE Lot 3063 1930'S WPA ONE POCKET PULLOVER INDIGO-DENIM SHIRTS
 Model: 175cm tall, 62kg weight, wearing size 36 in unwashed condition *After shrinkage, size 38 will have a similar fit. Within the large-scale programs of the WPA, workwear for blue-collar workers was manufactured. These were made in sewing rooms called "SEWING ROOMS," and the clothing was affixed with tags that read, "Made by W.P.A. SEWING ROOMS, NOT TO BE SOLD." In states where these sewing rooms existed, tailors took great pride in their work, declaring that the initials "W.P.A." stood for "We Patch Anything." Sometimes they repaired military clothing and rearranged it to create new garments, which were then worn by "WPA" workers. Such "WPA" clothing had very interesting designs and sewing specifications. The design was based on military workwear, with many arrangements applied. As the name "SEWING ROOM" suggests, the sewing specifications frequently used "lockstitch" rather than the "chain stitch" that was prevalent in workwear at the time. There was a pastoral warmth there until the demand for military goods in factories arose due to World War II. 8 x 10 selvedge light ounce denim ※The following shrinkage will occur after washing.
