At that time, jeans and denim jackets were thoroughly restricted in what was considered unnecessary and had to be simplified in each part in order to focus on materials used for World War II. In addition, veteran seamsters primarily manufactured military uniforms, while workwear like jeans was made by less skilled seamsters. Based on the historical context of the 1940s, D'Artisan reproduces the crude sewing and simplified details, using 13.0oz original denim fabric spun at Ishikawa-dai. After sewing, a beige topping is applied to express the rugged and rough denim of the time, along with the dull, oxidized indigo blue atmosphere. Weight: 900g  The name "Studio D'Artisan," founded in 1979, means "artisan's workshop." At that time, the concept of making jeans, now called vintage replica jeans, barely existed in the Japanese jeans market. It is a pioneering brand that built the foundation for manufacturing that pursued the dream of reproducing the taste of the jeans themselves, despite the efficiency aimed at mass production.
