What if the U.S. Navy, led by Commodore Perry, had approved jeans as uniform wear on board?
This is the "Black Ships U.S.N. Jeans," developed from such a fictional story.

The fabric used is G3 denim, woven on a Toyota automatic loom "G3" to achieve the ruggedness of workwear from that era.
The weft yarn uses sulfur-dyed black, dyed to evoke the image of the Black Ships, incorporating an element of a uniform where dirt from work on board would be less noticeable.
Details such as the front pockets are based on vintage U.S.N. utility denim pants, with D'ARTISAN's practical arrangements added.
