■Lot No. BR80686 / Type A-2 BUZZ RICKSON CLOTHING CO. CONTRACT No.18091 GOAT SKIN

Model
Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, wearing size 38

This A-2 with contract number AC18091 is the second manufacturing lot from Rough Wear Co., which delivered to the military five times.
It features a collar stand and a pattern that forcibly uses a symmetrical body that disregards the fly front as the fly front, which can be said to be a characteristic pattern of the company.
At the time, the military stipulated horsehide for A-2, but this manufacturing lot uses rare goatskin for an A-2, perhaps due to procurement circumstances.
Goatskin reminds us of the G-1, a representative leather jacket of the Navy, but goatskin has a smaller
"skin area" (area per sheet of leather) compared to horsehide, so it is necessary to cut the leather into fine pieces and use it efficiently without waste, like with the G-1.
If goatskin with a small area is cut for a single-back pattern like the A-2, the remaining surrounding leather has limited use for other cut parts.
In other words, it is a very luxurious use of material. The leather used is carefully selected thick goatskin, tanned with vegetable tannin,
then dyed as a base, and then layered with lighter dyes to create a natural color unevenness.
The beautiful vertical grain is emphasized, once again captivating with the charm of goatskin.

Buzz Rickson's is a military brand of Toyo Enterprise Co., Ltd., which owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military is old, with roots dating back to the days of its predecessor, Koushou Shokai, when it supplied souvenir jackets (such as Sukajan) and other products to US military bases. In 1993, it released its first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear successively reproduced by the company, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted.

・Overall long and slender epaulets
・Vertically long pockets. The snap buttons on the flap are offset from the center.

・Nickel-finished wartime Talon zipper

・Collar with a relatively rounded tip
・Rough Wear's final model, with a collar stand, except for some of contract number 27752
・Although no one wore it with the neck hook closed, it is an important part that gives the A-2 a delicate and taut impression.
