■Buzz Rickson's Black Horween Horsehide Leather Jacket BR80665 WILLIAM GIBSON
![]() Model Height 175 cm, Weight 62 kg, Wearing Size 42 A black leather version of the denim blouse that emerged during World War II's material controls. It retains the details of four front buttons, a single pocket without a flap, and a back cinch. The back features a split T design, split down the center regardless of size. The outer material is the same horsehide as the black A-2. The lining uses smooth rayon twill, ensuring excellent wearability. <WILLIAM GIBSON COLLECTION> The BLACK MA-1 was Buzz Rickson's first production item for its 10th anniversary. William Gibson, a world-renowned novelist, featured "Buzz Rickson's Black MA-1" worn by the protagonist in his novel "Pattern Recognition." Inspired by this novel, the actual Buzz Rickson's Black MA-1 was created. The U.S. Air Force officially adopted the MA-1 in the 1950s, with the prescribed color originally being sage green. However, there was no authentic BLACK MA-1 in black with military-spec parts and materials based on military standards. Consequently, it garnered favorable attention and became a topic of discussion among genuine enthusiasts in the market. Even when instructing each material to be black, the dyeing process differed for each material. When assembled into a single jacket, subtle color variations appeared, clearly demonstrating how many different materials compose a flight jacket. Weight: 1700g ![]() Buzz Rickson's is a military brand belonging to Toyo Enterprises, which also owns vintage American casual brands like Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with military items dates back to its predecessor, Kosho Shokai, which supplied souvenir jackets (such as sukajan) to US military bases. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, military wear meticulously reproduced has been as perfect as Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear. ![]() ![]()
