■Buzz Rickson's Flight Jacket BR80661 / Type AN6552 AMERICAN SPORTSWEAR CO.
![]() Model Height 175 cm, Weight 62 kg, Wearing size 38 The AN6552 appeared as a successor model to the M-422A used by the US Navy and US Marine Corps. Like the M-422A, it uses goatskin, and its appearance is almost identical to the M-422A, but the model name was changed for the purpose of common use with the US Army Air Force. Its model name uses the initials of both the ARMY and NAVY, and for that reason, while the collars of G-1 type jackets usually have "USN" marked on the back, this jacket is marked "US" for common use by both forces. The main change was that the M-422A used a nickel-plated zipper, but it was changed to a brass zipper with a black oxidation treatment. The AN6552 (AN-J-3A) was adopted from 1944 to 1947, and the AN6552 from AMERICAN SPORTSWEAR CO. with its beautiful vermilion lining was delivered in 1944. Generally, the leather material sought is "uniform without individual differences," but this leather was created with the concept of "uneven with individual differences in each piece," starting from the leather making process. Carefully selected thick goatskin is tanned with vegetable tannin solution, and then the base is dyed with a lighter color, and then toned with dye to create natural color variations. Furthermore, in the final finishing, solid wax is meticulously rubbed in by artisans while being melted with heat. Goatskin that has gone through these processes reveals the underlying color under sunlight, resulting in a deep hue. It awakens the true nature of goat with beautiful grain flowing vertically from head to tail. Weight: 1900g ![]() Buzz Rickson's is a military brand of Toyo Enterprise, which owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military is long-standing, with roots tracing back to its predecessor, Kosho Shokai, which supplied products such as souvenir jackets (Sukajan, etc.) to US bases. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear they have restored, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted. ![]() ![]()
