■Buzz Rickson's A-2 CONTRACT No.W535 ac-21996 BUZZ RICKSON CLO.CO. BR80654
Aero Leather Co., which began producing A-2 jackets in the late 1930s, boasts the highest number of deliveries among A-2 contractors, with seven times. This proves that it was an excellent manufacturer with reliable technology and production capacity from an early stage, capable of stable supply. This A-2 model is the 5th production lot manufactured by Aero Leather Co. in 1941. The previous four models delivered had a stand collar, but from this model onwards, the stand collar was eliminated. In this model, since the left and right front body panels use the same pattern, the pocket positions are moved horizontally to maintain balance when viewed from the front. If you look at the spacing of the pocket positions from the left and right side seams, you can see that the pockets are attached at different positions on the left and right. A distinctive feature of this A-2 is that the bottom curve of the pockets is narrow, making the pocket shape almost square, and the narrow stitch width of the fly gives it a refined impression. The snap buttons used are ring-stud type, and since the top parts do not use a round cap, when worn, scuffs and "atari" (fading marks) in a donut shape will appear. Aero Leather Co. is the only contractor out of all 18 contractors and a total of 39 production lots to have produced A-2s with red rib-knit. The beautiful contrast between the deep seal brown of the body and the red rib-knit makes this A-2 iconic of Aero Leather Co. Weight: 1740g ![]() Buzz Rickson's is a military brand of Toyo Enterprises, which owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military is long-standing, with its roots tracing back to the Ko-Shōji era (the company's predecessor), when it supplied souvenir jackets (such as Sukajan) to US military bases. In 1993, it released its first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear it has reproduced, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted. ![]() ![]() Size Details
