"Horizontal" means sideways, and it's designed to prevent shrinkage in length while considering both vertical and horizontal elasticity. Such military-related designs with these specifications are highly rare, and their prices are soaring in the vintage market. The aircraft carrier CVA-67 "John F. Kennedy," named after the 35th President of the United States, was commissioned in 1968 and was the last conventionally powered aircraft carrier in the U.S. Navy.
