 Sweatshirts evolved from wool knit material to cotton material with loop-back fleece, becoming "sweat-absorbing shirts" and daily wear for Americans. The military and military academies, for whom rigorous training was a daily routine, quickly took notice, and the shirts began to be sold in PX stores across the U.S. The material is made using circular knitting machines that weave with uneven tension, just like in the past, giving it a unique flexibility.
