 The sweatshirt, which evolved from a wool knit material to a cotton material with a loop-pile lining, became a daily wear for Americans as a "sweat-absorbing shirt." The military and military academies, which daily undergo rigorous training, quickly took notice, and the product became available at base stores across the United States. The material is knitted with a circular knitting machine that uses uneven tension, just like in the past, giving it a unique flexibility. The seams are made with a 4-needle flat seamer, suitable for underwear, and the V-shaped gusset is made by sewing a ribbed material on top of the body, commonly known as a "sewn-on V" specification.
