The sweatshirt evolved from wool knit to cotton material with loop-back fleece, becoming a daily wear item for Americans as a "sweat-absorbing shirt." The military and academies, for whom hard training was a daily routine, quickly took notice, and it began to be sold in PXs (Post Exchanges) at bases scattered across the United States. The material is made using a cylindrical hanging knitting machine that knits with uneven tension, just like in those days, giving it a unique flexibility. The seams are made with a 4-needle flat seamer suitable for underwear, and the V-shaped gusset is sewn with ribbed material placed on top of the body, commonly known as a "Taki-tsuke V" (attached V).  Buzz Rickson's is a military brand of Toyo Enterprises, which owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military dates back to its predecessor, Kosho & Co., which supplied products such as souvenir jackets (sukajan, etc.) to US military bases. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear they have successively reproduced, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted.  113: Heather Gray  119: Black  149: Olive
