■Buzz Rickson's Lot No. BR29586 / SHIRT MAN'S COTTON SATEEN OLIVE GREEN SHADE107 DEMILITARIZED ZONE

Model: 175cm tall, 62kg weight, wearing size 14 (equivalent to S)
The herringbone twill utility uniform adopted by the US Army since World War II continued to be worn even after the Korean War began. However, in Korea, which has a severe winter climate, a more cold-weather combat uniform was needed, leading to the development and adoption of the M-51 field jacket and M-51 parka. Following this trend, the OG-107 utility uniform emerged. It featured flap pockets on both sides of the chest, made of thick sateen fabric, with a pen slot inside the left pocket. The collar, without a stand, was typically worn open, without fastening the first button. Early models featured "shirt sleeves" with cuffs, while later models had "tube sleeves" without cuffs, a change made with mass production in mind.

This model is a reproduction of the patched version of the utility shirt worn by John Lennon when he appeared on "The Dick Cavett Show." The shirt John chose and wore from a surplus shop was one actually worn by a real soldier. The soldier's name was "REINHARDT." He belonged to the US Army Second Infantry Division stationed in Korea in the mid-1960s and wore an "Imijin Scouts" patch, signifying his reconnaissance duties in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) established near the 38th parallel. John Lennon's stance of wearing a military shirt became a symbol of his anti-war message and his advocacy for love and peace.

Buzz Rickson's is a military brand from Toyo Enterprises, which also owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military is long-standing, with its predecessor, Koshō Shōji, supplying goods such as souvenir jackets (Sukajan, etc.) to US military bases. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, their meticulously reproduced military wear, much like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted.
