 Model Height 175 cm, Weight 60 kg, wearing size 38 This denim blouse was created under wartime controls to address material shortages during World War II. The pocket flaps that were present on previous models were omitted, and the number of front buttons was changed from five to four. "FOR THE DURATION" on the flasher means "for the duration of the war," indicating that specifications were changed due to material controls until the war ended. In the 1940s, the U.S. government awarded "E Pennants" (meaning "Excellent") to companies that produced superior war materials to commend their achievements. This flasher is a dream come true, imagining that Buzz Rickson's was a flight jacket contractor during the war and received an E Pennant. ＜Detailed Features＞ Vegetable-tanned deerskin label. Iron arabesque pattern donut buttons. The pleat stitching on the left body starts and ends at the top, while on the right body, it starts and ends at the bottom. Handcrafted-looking pocket stitching. Selvedge is visible on the reverse side of the facing. Pleats for mobility. Handcrafted-looking stitching and rivet placement. Cuffs with vertical grain fabric. This creates a different look than horizontal grain. 13.6oz original denim with a rough texture.  Buzz Rickson's is a military brand from Toyo Enterprises, which also owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company has a long history with the military; its predecessor, Kosho Shokai, supplied souvenir jackets (such as sukajan) to U.S. military bases. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, they have faithfully reproduced military wear, just as they have with Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, all with perfect execution.
