■Buzz Rickson's Flight Jacket MA-1 1st Model Albert Turner 96th BOMB.SQ. BR15994
![]() Model Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, Wearing size L The first model of the MA-1, known as the 1st model, is faithfully reproduced from the highly popular Albert Turner company, alongside the Lion Uniform company. Among the many flight jackets, the MA-1 is the most popular and long-lived. The MA-1 was developed in the 1950s to replace the B-15 series, which had been the official flight jacket until then. The biggest difference from previous jackets was the "absence of a collar." Its development was closely intertwined with the development of the most advanced fighter jets of the time. Minor improvements continued thereafter, and as the ultimate in functional beauty, it transcended the realm of military wear and became a fashion item that had a major influence worldwide. The patches are splendid, adhering to the patch regulations of the Strategic Air Command squadrons, an elite force of that era. On the right shoulder is the Fairchild Trophy, awarded to the most outstanding bombing unit. On the right chest is the Strategic Air Command emblem, and on the left chest, the triangular 96th Bombardment Squadron emblem, all making a powerful impact. Weight: 1630g ![]() Buzz Rickson's is a military brand from Toyo Enterprise, which also owns vintage American casual brands like Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company has a long history with the military, with its predecessor, Kosho Co., Ltd., supplying products such as souvenir jackets (Sukajan) to US military bases. In 1993, the first flight jacket was released. Since then, the military wear that has been successively restored, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted. ![]() ![]()
![]() Model Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, Wearing size L ![]() ![]() Air Force Mark The wing star insignia used from the establishment of the Air Force in 1947 until 1962. This transfer method involves melting ink from a dedicated ink-impregnated sheet by applying heat with an iron, allowing the ink to soak into the fabric weave. Wind Flap The rectangular flap, a characteristic of early models. The wind flap, which contains the same wool pile used in the body, prevents cold air from entering through the gaps in the zipper teeth. The zigzag top stitching secures the pile and also suppresses bulk, allowing for freedom of movement. Zipper The large zipper with a leather pull tab can be opened and closed even while wearing pilot gloves. The slider features an interlocking mechanism that constantly engages the zipper teeth. This innovative mechanism releases the lock when the pull tab is moved up and down, preventing the zipper from accidentally moving. Pocket Lining The fabric, woven with rayon for the warp and wool for the weft, allows both sides to be used from a single piece of cloth. The wool side is brushed and thickened for the MA-1 pocket lining, while the rayon side is used for the L-2B lining to provide a smooth feel and ensure freedom of movement. Size Details

To emphasize the atmosphere, there may be slight sewing discrepancies, differences in fabric color and texture due to processing, and color unevenness. Please understand that these are part of the product's charm. Also, product specifications (sewing, parts, color, size, etc.) may change without prior notice. We hope you will enjoy our products with the above points in mind. |
