This jacket, which would hardly be considered a military jacket based on its appearance, was issued to the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1935. During the Great Depression, this corps was operated by unemployed individuals up to 25 years old and aimed to provide vocational training through camps. They engaged in public works such as road construction and building small dams for soil conservation, as well as maintaining national parks through logging and afforestation. It features a classic button-front appearance reminiscent of leather A-1 jackets or olive wool jackets adopted by the army. Since this jacket was produced in extremely small numbers, encountering an original in reality is miraculous. The "Quartermaster Depot" (Army Supply Department) stated on the label is undeniable proof that it is "military issue." Weight: 1100g  Buzz Rickson's is a military brand of Toyo Enterprise, which owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military dates back to its predecessor, Kosho Shokai, when it supplied souvenir jackets (such as Sukajan) to US military bases. In 1993, the company released its first flight jacket. Since then, each military wear item recreated, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, is perfectly finished.
