■Buzz Rickson's Field Jacket M-1943 Hand Paint DRAGON LADY BR15723
![]() Model: Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, wearing size 38 The M-1943 field jacket was the successor to the M-1941, developed with the aim of integrating the various field uniforms previously developed and adopted by the Army. Designed to accommodate various temperatures and ensure mobility, it features a relatively loose fit, as it was intended to be worn as part of a layering system (wearing multiple garments). The button-fastened placket and buttoned pocket flaps have concealed buttons to prevent snagging when equipment is worn over them. The material is a durable, waterproof, heavy cotton sateen (back sateen) dyed olive drab to enhance its camouflage effect. The four front pockets offer ample capacity, enough to carry daily necessities without needing a backpack. The collar inherits the design of the M-41, It can be worn open or closed, and when the collar is raised and the chin strap fastened, it offers excellent functionality by preventing wind intrusion. The basic design was highly refined and was subsequently inherited by the M-51 and M-65. A detachable hood is also included, allowing it to be used according to purpose. During World War II, "War Art" flourished among American soldiers. Soldiers with artistic talent would treat the backs of their combat uniforms as canvases, using brushes and paints to express themselves freely. This was the beginning of back painting. The content ranged from their beloved aircraft used in combat and sortie scores, to their girlfriends back home, and copies of pin-up girls from entertainment magazines sent to the barracks. As these paintings reflected the wearer's will and pride, there were few identical designs, and many were unique and highly original. Soldiers stationed in Asia, Upon encountering mystical cultures they had never experienced before, they quickly incorporated this Asian taste into their jackets, Customizing their combat uniforms. Could the beautiful woman painted on the back of this jacket be his girlfriend back home? This single garment embodies the strong passion and aesthetic sense of the soldiers, who believed that even a dragon, a mythical and legendary creature in Asian traditions, was ecstatic about such an exquisite beauty. Weight: 1520g ![]() Buzz Rickson's is a military brand from Toyo Enterprise, which owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's connection to the military dates back to its predecessor, Kosho Shokai, when it supplied souvenir jackets (such as Sukajan) to US military bases. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, their reproductions of military wear, much like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, have all been perfect. ![]() ![]()
