This cap, adopted by the U.S. Air Force in the mid-1950s, uses the same cotton sateen fabric as the shirts and trousers. The color used is sage green, which the U.S. Air Force designated as the standard uniform color for flight crews and ground personnel. By using the same sateen fabric for the main body, the sweatband, and the six-panel tape, the design streamlines production by eliminating the need to procure several different materials. Due to its short adoption period, very few of these caps still exist, making them extremely rare. The company's relationship with the military dates back to its predecessor, Kosho Shokai, which supplied goods such as souvenir jackets (e.g., sukajan) to U.S. military bases. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear they have successively reproduced, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted.
