■Buzz Rickson's TYPE G-3A TIGER Camouflage Shoulder Bag BR02878
The G-3A, an anti-G suit developed during World War II. The intense G-forces experienced by pilots in fighter aircraft affected blood flow, and a lack of oxygen in the brain could lead to loss of consciousness. To prevent blood from flowing to the extremities, a suit was developed to compress the lower body with cords. This bag is based on the bag used to store that suit. While the original was made from herringbone twill fabric, Buzz Rickson's created an original using gold tiger camouflage fabric. The bag features carefully piped seams and a WWII-era TALON zipper. Weight: 240g  Buzz Rickson's is a military brand from Toyo Enterprise, which also owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company has a long history with the military, with its predecessor, Kohshoji, supplying goods such as souvenir jackets (e.g., Sukajan) to U.S. military bases. In 1993, the company released its first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear it has faithfully reproduced, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted.
