■Buzz Rickson's HAT WORKING BROWN DENIM BR02843

The denim hat developed by the U.S. Army in 1934 was adopted to be worn as a set with a denim jacket and trousers.

The wide brim, which provides sun protection, is a luxurious design that uses a lot of fabric, cut out in a donut shape.
The countless stitches running around the circumference are done in a laborious "one-stroke" manner.

While blue denim hats adopted in 1919 are occasionally seen in the vintage market and their existence is known, brown denim hats were produced even before blue denim, making existing numbers extremely low and their existence largely unknown.
This special fabric uses brown natural indigo for the warp and ecru and black mottled yarn for the weft, which was intended to make dirt such as dust less noticeable.

Buzz Rickson's is a military brand from Toyo Enterprise, which owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military dates back to its predecessor, Minato Shokai, which supplied souvenir jackets (such as Sukajan) to U.S. military bases. In 1993, the company launched its first flight jacket. Since then, all the military wear reproductions, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, have been perfectly crafted.
