This is a kit bag that pilots would load with all their essential personal gear when boarding a fighter jet.
Since it needed to hold a helmet and other equipment, it was large in capacity and heavy, so it was made from a thick canvas material that offered excellent strength.
In addition, the internal seams are fully piped, a time-consuming process, to enhance durability.
Originally, it did not come with a shoulder strap, but for enhanced usability, a detachable strap is included.
The bag features a prominent Air Force mark, but marks were transferred only until 1962, similar to flight jackets, clearly indicating its vintage value.

Buzz Rickson's is a military brand from Toyo Enterprise, which owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military dates back to its predecessor, Kosho & Co., which supplied souvenir jackets (such as Sukajan) to U.S. military bases. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear they have successively reproduced, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted.
