The B-2 flying cap was adopted by the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1943 for winter use. Made from sheepskin mouton, it features a unique vertical and side-cut design to ensure the voluminous mouton fits snugly on the head. The visor is made from thick cowhide with piping and has ear flaps to protect the ears in cold weather. The B-2 cap was widely used by soldiers in combat and bomber squadrons, who often wore the summer A-2 jacket, as well as by mechanics. While the mouton fleece is trimmed short, the sheepskin is as expensive as that used in B-3 and B-6 jackets, making this luxurious, military-aura headgear truly top-tier.

Buzz Rickson's is a military brand from Toyo Enterprises, which also owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company has a long history with military items, dating back to its predecessor, Kosho & Co., which supplied souvenir jackets (such as Sukajan) to U.S. military bases. In 1993, the company released its first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear it has reproduced, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, has been impeccably crafted.
