This hoodie, the classic item #3010, is styled after sweatshirts made in America from the 1950s to the 1970s. Each piece is finished by artisans using a rare, old-fashioned 4-needle sewing machine, "Union Special," which can only sew 20 pieces per day. This sewing method, "flat seamer," creates flat and durable seams (on the inside). However, flat seamers do not allow for mass production. But BARNS stubbornly adheres to this method. The fabric, made with a "small-gauge knitting machine," has no seams around the body, commonly known as "circular knit." It is slowly knitted from top to bottom in a tubular form, creating a unique texture. While it's not the most efficient production method, it's understandable why there are so many fans who appreciate this dedication to craftsmanship. It boasts an authentic body and a perfect silhouette. The kangaroo pocket also features flat seaming, providing a simple yet practical zip hoodie with consistent stitching.
