This is a standard item created with BARNS' unique production background, including the use of small circular knitting machines that knit heavy-weight fabrics and flat seamer stitching with US-made sewing machines. The "Union Special" is a phantom sewing machine whose operating units are extremely limited due to poor production efficiency, difficult maintenance, and a shortage of engineers. Using such a valuable sewing machine, each piece of thick fabric knitted on a small circular knitting machine is carefully sewn. It features flat seamer stitching that makes the seams feel less uneven. In addition, it adopts the both V-gusset, a detail of vintage sweatshirts, resulting in a piece with a classical look and comfortable feel. Pigment dyeing applies color to the fabric surface, and then a washing process is added to reproduce the faded look unique to vintage clothing.
